HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY JUDSON!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDSON!!!!

Wow does time fly by. Judson is now three and as active and crazy as ever. We decided to take him and some friends and go to Chuck E Cheese for his party. I would have thought after Three hours of running and playing he would have been worn out but we got home and he was ready to keep going and start playing with his toys. Naps??? What is that? He was just too excited I guess. He loved his Transformer cake and gets mad if dad tries to have a piece!!!

Judson with a gold medal

So we stopped by the BX the other day while on base. We walked into the mall part headed to the store itself when I saw Brandi Chastain sitting there. There was a short line to see her so we grabbed a soccer ball and went to have her sign it for Judson. She was so nice to all the kids, she even had her Gold Medal there for everyone to see. I kept telling Judson not to touch it so she handed it to him then put him on her lap for a picture. She did a little training session later that day with only a few kids but hey I thought it was cool that she just handed Judson the gold medal to hold. I would not trust a three year old with my medal if I had one.

Kids Christmas Party

We had the kids Christmas party on base with Mikes work. We got to go to the passenger terminal and see Santa get off the C-17 then it was over to the club for breakfast with Santa. While at the party every kid got to sit on Santa's lap and get a toy. Judson told Santa all about the transformers he wants and who knows what else he came up with. Too bad for Judson Santa did not have any transformers with him so instead Judson got a Spider man car which he was pleased with.

So I have not been good at keeping the blog updated. Thanksgiving came and left and Judson and I found ourselves at home getting ready for Christmas. Mike had to go to New Jersey for training to the decorating was left up to us this year. We put the lights up outside and got the tree up. Judson was so cute decorating the tree. As I grew up we always got a new ornament every year and Judson just thought it was a blast to play with all of them. He had the most fun with my Tigger ornament that is heading a soccer ball!!! Tigger was jumping all over the house, the bear on a bike was riding and for a moment there I was not sure where the ornaments were going.

Thanksgiving Fun!!!

I have finally caught up on my lack of sleep from Thanksgiving. The BX on base which is like a big Target was giving out $20 dollar gift cards to the first 100 customers on Thanksgiving day and all weekend long. I don't really know what possesed me to go stand in line but I did. After four days of standing in line at 3:30 a.m. I got my gift cards. It was actually entertaining watching people get mad at other people.

Thanksgiving itself was good. My in-laws came to visit so it was a pretty mellow day. The last few years we have had lots of people over so it was nice to have just us and them. This year I also had lots of help with the cooking. The only down fall to this year was my in-laws left on Saturday and Mike had to go to training on Sunday so I got stuck with all the left overs. I guess it is not all that bad since I won't have to cook for over a week!!

Judson's Big Boy Bed!!!!!!

After months of Judson climbing out of his toddler bed at night and sleeping most of every night on the floor, we decided it was time to get him a bigger bed. Mike wanted to get him a twin and I wanted to get him a full which I won. I told Mike if I have to lay in his room at all with him I wanted a bed that we could be comfortable in. I didn't want to be hanging on to the edge which has happened before in my bed. The next battle was the new bedding. I thought cars would be good and would match the paint on the walls but Judson wanted Transformers (he thinks he is Optims Prime) Mike told me it is Judson's room and he can have what he wantes to he now has Transformers. Guess I will be painting his room again.

Visit from Family!!!

My cousin's wife decided to surprise her daughters and come visit and go to the HANNAH MONTANA concert!!!!!!!!!!! It was so good to have family come visit especially since I had not seen them in years. They just moved from England to Alaska so now that we are close hopefully we will get together more often. We had a day filled with activities! We started at Ross since there is no Ross in Alaska then went to the Seattle Aquarium and to Pikes Market. To end the day we went to the concert which was fun.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who knew that putting on a costume would make a kid think they can do anything. Judson truely believes when his costume is on that he is SPIDERMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CRAZY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Thursday October 11th was such a hectic day it has taken me this long to blog it. The day started at 2:30 a.m. with me getting ready to go to the airport. Judson and I left the house at 4 and headed to the airport. We were planning on going to visit a friend in North Carolina with the down fall of flying standby. Try explaining that to a kid as the planes come and go. We did not get on the first flight at 6 or the next 6 either.

In the meantime while waiting in between flights we were at the kids play area. Judson thinking he was Superman jumped off a toy and landed just right to break his arm. The paramedics at the airport looked at him and thought he just bruised it but after we did not get on the next flight and it was still killing him and there was no moving it we decided to call it a day at the airport and headed to the emergency room. After x-rays and an exam we found out it was broken. They put him in a splint and a sling and sent us on our way with more appointments to follow.

Saying goodbye to friends. We decided to go bowling instead of thinking of friends leaving again. This time at least they get to leave the rain of Washington and go to the warm sunny beaches of HAWAII!!! I will be over to visit so save me a place on the beach. Best of luck Jane and Troy you will be missed.

AIR FORCE BALL

With it being the 60th Anniversary of the Air Force, Mike and I decided to go to the Annual Air Force Ball. Not knowing what I was getting myself into I had no idea what to wear. After shopping for dresses and not finding one I felt like buying to wear for one night, I went to the closet. After pulling out dress after dress I decided to wear one from high school. Surprisingly it fit somewhat!!!!!!!!!!

Puyallup Fair

No one can miss the Puyallup Fair. The biggest Fair in the Northwest. Judson loved every minute of it. From the animals to the rides. He went on a roller coaster by himself. I must admit I was nervous and afraid he would try and climb out but he wanted to do it. He was so proud of himself after and had to tell everyone he saw that he went on the roller coaster by HIMSELF!!!

Life in the military

Living as a military wife is not always fun. The best day is after six months of waiting for your husband and all the other guys to get home has finally arrived. You can see the excitement in everyones eyes as we all wait patiently for the plane to land. Luckily this time Mike was only gone three months and was already at home.
